Salary: £37,317.25 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 32 hours per week (4-day working week from 1 April 2026)
Location: Hybrid – 2 days at home / 2 days in our Edinburgh office
Contract: Permanent

We’re now looking for an experienced and creative Communications & Marketing Lead to shape and deliver an organisation-wide communications and marketing strategy that strengthens Ark’s visibility, reputation and stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
Managing Ark’s brand identity, ensuring clarity, consistency and impact across all platforms.
Developing engaging, high-quality content for websites, social media, newsletters, brochures and campaigns.
Overseeing internal communications to help keep colleagues informed, connected and inspired.
Leading the management and continuous improvement of Ark’s website and supporting staff to contribute effective, accessible content.
Designing and delivering marketing campaigns that promote our services, initiatives and events.
Acting as the primary contact for media enquiries, drafting press releases and overseeing public relations activity.
Monitoring and evaluating communications and marketing activity using data, analytics and insights.
Exploring emerging digital and AI tools to enhance communications approaches.
Contributing to business cases and reporting on key communications and marketing KPIs.
Supporting with the development of Arks communications and engagement strategy and leading on delivery and reporting.
About You
Significant experience in communications, marketing, PR or digital engagement.
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences and channels.
Confidence managing brand identity and delivering multichannel campaigns.
Experience with digital marketing tools, social media management and analytics.
A strategic mindset paired with the ability to deliver high-quality work at pace.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.
An understanding of communications-related compliance, including data protection and advertising standards.
A proactive, creative approach and commitment to Ark’s mission and values.
