Contract: Full-time (32-40 hours per week)
Salary: £26,552.07 – £32,648.33

About the Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Payroll Support colleague to join our People & OD team based at our Lochside office in Edinburgh.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute not only to the accurate and timely processing of payroll, but also to play an active role in system integration and payroll improvement initiatives. You’ll support enhancements to our payroll and HR systems, helping to improve efficiency, data quality and the overall employee experience.
Working closely with the Payroll Coordinator and colleagues across People & OD and Finance, you’ll play a key role in the integration of our new payroll system while contributing to a modern, forward-thinking payroll service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting payroll system integration activities, including testing, data validation and process alignment
- Assisting with the implementation of new systems or upgrades to existing HR/payroll platforms
- Helping to improve data flows between systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Working with colleagues to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Contributing to digital transformation projects within People & OD
- Supporting continuous improvement in payroll processes and systems
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel
- Good understanding of payroll processes and UK legislation
- An interest in systems, data and process improvement
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Discretion when handling confidential information
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience working in a payroll or similar environment
- Experience using HR or payroll systems
- Experience supporting or contributing to system changes, upgrades or implementations (desirable)
- Relevant qualification (SCQF Level 7 or equivalent) or relevant experience
- Payroll or finance-related training (desirable)
