2 x 40 hour contract available
Southhouse HMO supports 8 people across 2 Houses of Multiple Occupancy. Both houses are next door to each other meaning there is always other staff nearby to support you. The supported people at Southhouse HMO have high support needs. Most of the supported people are non-verbal and enjoy getting out for day activities, lunch or going to the movies.
All Support Workers are required to carry out personal care.
There are good bus links nearby with Lothian bus numbers 7, 11 & 400 approximately a 4 minute walk from the service and Lothian buses 37 & 47 about an eight minute walk from the service.
Shifts at Southhouse HMO are usually 12 hours allowing you to work your hours over less days and have more days off to support a good work life balance. Weekend working (Saturday & Sunday) is required. The rota is one weekend on, one weekend off.

Your main duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
- Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
- Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
